It's always been a bit of a bu**er, that page...
I usually just get "Loading POI categories (if this takes more than 1 minute please refresh selected country above)...", and I get it again after refreshing.
One way I often get it to load is to ADD another country (i.e. tick the UK and somewhere else), then hit "Refresh" then untick the other country and hit "Refresh" again.
EDIT..... But even that isn't working for me today.
EDIT 2.... I finally got it to load the US categories by ticking JUST "United States", then hitting "Refresh", but when I go back to UK it just won't load.
I think you just have to keep switching options and trying over and over again. It's a real pain. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

It would appear that I have just wasted £20, the only thing I want doesn't work.

The POIs are free. Or was it the low bridges etc you were after?
Speed cameras are a separate download system.

But the whole point is you didn't need to subscribe just to get the Free community POIs. As far as I know, only the speed cameras and Low Bridges are part of the subscription package.
Have you tried a different browser, selecting something else other than TomTom ov2, etc. just to kick start it?
I got them to display in the end, but it took quite a few goes. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

My trick is when the page is displaying "Loading POI categories..." I go ahead and click on the download button. Then click on the "back" link and the list displays |

I think you've told me thsat one before Rick, but I'd forgotten it.
Worked first time for me!
Would be good not to have to jump through these hoops though. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

It was like that from the very start _________________ Richard

Perhaps when MaFt gets a few minutes spare on a Techno Thursday, he could have a look at the page's coding.
