GPRS useage with TomTom Traffic PLZ>>

Hello All,

This seems a nice community with some good advice being banded around Smile

I have a short question plz.

I have set up my 2210 with TT3 and Traffic. I connection on my Nokia 6230 via the Orange network GPRS.

I will be using GPRS for around 3-4 hours a day and have TT3 traffic to download the latest traffic update every 10 mins.

Can someone tell me roughly how much data i would be using in a month ?

Traffic doesn't use that much data - though it does depend on how many incidents are active at any one time and how often you refresh. Each refresh is just a few KBytes.

I recommend Spb GPRS Monitor if you want to keep a close eye on your data usage - assuming that you're using Traffic on a Pocket PC. TomTom Traffic itself has a usage counter that you can reset.

TomTom has a setting to show you how much data has been transmitted.
If you go t navigator, tap the screen, goto properties, traffic it tells you how much data has been sent and received. I have a 6230 and use the GPRS for this and email, i have transmitted and received loads of information (several meg) and have never been charged by O2 :D so it's proving to be a nice cheap way of connecting.
