On the Foreign sites equivalent to Pocket GPS they have been playing with Navigon Skins for some time now.
One skin I have downloaded and am now using is DALI_V6_2_I. This gives you
larger menu buttons that you can easily tap with your fingers. Also, on the main navigating screen the next street destination is at the top of the screen together with the direction arrows.
It is the colour and size of these direction arrows that I wanted to alter.
The file for this is NAVLIB.INI found in Navigon’s main directory on the PDA.
Before I started I made two copies of this file on the PC for backup should something go wrong.
This is what I ended up with:
[mainSchematic]
arrowsize=10
rsdius=21
raradius=10
routewidth=8
allwidth=4
forwidth=1
borderwidth=1
routcolor= 0000FF This is the arrow colour where I have used red as this stands out against the dark green background that I am using . You can use a colour picker from a program such as adobe photoshop etc. to find the color code. The red I am using is FF0000. You have to reverse this code for Navigon to read IE 0000FF or any other color you choose.
allcolor=2BCB2B
This is the arrow tail. I have used light green - don’t forget to reverse the code as above.
forecolor=0000FF
------------------------------------------------------
[SecondSchematic]
This is the second arrow which can be adjusted in the same manner but keep this to a smaller size.
------------------------------------------------------
You can download DALI_V6_2_1 from www.pocketnavigation.de and translate its readme file to English but as the file states - All is done at own risk. If you use
POI Warner then you can also use the UK speed camera files from Pocket GPS World by changing its file format to asc using POI edit.
My wish list is for full ukpostcodes - maybe Digitools can help here!
IPAQ 2210, Navigon 4.2, PoiWarner, Rikaline X7, Navigons own GPS +TMC on order from Peripheral Corner. |

Don't suppose anyone can let me in on the secret to get the DALI skin working??
I download it the other night and unzipped it then put it in the skins directory. I presumed that's all i needed to do. When i change to the DALI skin eveyrthing is to cock...in place of the buttons there's little letters or numbers and the colours are truly awful.
Have i missed something?? |

I’m not suggesting that this the correct way to Dali working but it worked form me.
1. Download and unzip.
2. Copy the contents of the Layout file.
3. Paste directly into the layout on you PDA.
That’s all I did and it works on my iPAQ 2210
Another useful tool is Skinit which can be found here I have used this to tweak the map layouts of Dali.
If your German is not to good try www.babelfish.altavista.com which is good for translation _________________ iPAq 2210
