GPS Position unreliable

Using an Ipaq 3630, TomTom 3 and a GPS receiver in front of the windscreen, I keep getting the above message as if the unit can't find a satellite(s).

Is it just a case of nudging the reciever around until it finds a suitable location, or am I missing something?

This can actually have two completely different reasons

a) your windscreen is tinted and attenuates the GPS signal.

b) your current position is not near to a street that the program knows.

c) your receiver may be faulty

(what do you mean, not two?)

Have you tried holding your receiver outside of the car, put it on the roof for example?
