gps receivers?more than1?

been wondering if your able to have more than 1 gps receiver to boost sat received?

somebody please help answer my question,how would you do this?

it wouldnt work as only one program at once can access a gps port

And even if they could they'd still have basically the same view of the sky and would see the same sats anyway.
