Can any one tell what r the differences betwn mobile phones and smart phones?

Hello and welcome!

Smartphones have a more powerful CPU and larger screen than mobile phones. They are basically a mini PDA and run Windows Mobile, Symbian or PalmOS operating systems.

The operating systems are not compatible with eachother and you have to run applications designed specially for the smartphone, normal applications which run on a PDA will not necessarily run on smartphones.

An example is the Orange SPV C500 which comes with Internet Explorer, email, MSN Messenger and Windows Media Player.

Third party applications like CoPilot and TomTom can be used with a Bluetooth GPS for streetmapping on your mobile.
