Etrex conntecing to PDA via Irda

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this would work?

Use Etrex serial data cable, connecting the serial end to a serial-to-Irda cable, and then using this setup with Destinator 3 for PDA?

My PDA only has Irda and no bluetooth or CF

It will work and there is an article on this site telling you to do it.
You have to search it.

Unless your PDA has no serial port whatsoever, it would be better to connect via cable than IR.
