Missing POIs

Well I am rather new to this GPS stuff and I'm certainly thankful of sites like this to enlighten me. I've had fun in this new learning and have been going through the POI databases but I'm just curious as to how accurate they are.

I live in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire which is no big metropolis admitedly. It's just that with the couple of POI databases I've installed, they've had missing our 2 Tesco stores, 1 Sainsbury store, 1 McDonalds and 1 Brewsters. (Recognise a theme here?!) Note that most of these have been here for a good few years and are not new.

Now obviously I can navigate myself to such places here but it makes me question how comprehensive things are for other places I am not familiar with. Also, is it possible to 'contribute' my findings to add to the appropraite databases for others to share this information?

The POIs are created by people just like you. Some research them a bit more thoroughly than others, that's all. You could always forward the additions to the creator of the POI if they have provided an email address.
