OT: battery charging

Although this is off topic i know everyone must have to charge their batteries so would appreciate some advice.

the situation: i have various uniross AA batteries 1300, 1800, 2000 and 2300mAh. i have a uniross chrager, nothing special (model 101296), with 4 slots for batteries.

my problem:

1. can i charge different mAh batteries at the same time, although they have to done in pairs on this particular charger. ie. 2x1800mAh and 2x2300mAh. at the moment i charge 4 of the same mAh at a time to be on the safe side.

2. the charger seems to switch off after about 8hrs no matter which capacity battery is used which would probably be ok for 1300mAh, i think the charger is supposed to do this and not a fault. however the 2300mAh are supposed to charge for 24hrs. do i have to switch the charger off then on to conitnue charging?

i have emailed uniross but havent received a reply so any help would be gratefully received.

Your charger has auto shut off after 8 hours so for 2300 nimh you will have to do as you thought and switch off then on again!! I use the Sprint 1 to 2 hour charger for my 2300 bats and is excellent..If you ring Uniross on 0870 2206988 and ask for tech support they are very helpful
