As the evenings are drawing in the following is starting to get noticable, and I wondered whether others might have found the same problem?
I have the Haicom GPS device sitting directly in front of me on top of the dashboard instruction panel. It picks up a good satellite signal from there.
Unfortunately when I'm out and about the Haicom is flashing a red LED at me (I don't have my PDA connected), and that light bounces off the windscreen right where I'm looking.
Just wondering whether others have been disturbed by this, and what they've done.

I haven't seen this mentioned for a long time now but it was a favourite topic when Emtac first launched their BT GPS which had (for the time) an especially bright and annoying Blue LED.
The simple solutions are the best so either black masking tape for total obliteration or an indelible marker can be used to tone down the light, multiple applications will make it dimmer.
