Morning everyone
I have a system using TTN2 which works fine. However a mate of mine has just bought one of those kits from Evesham tech which has the Co Pilot live V5 software.
It says on their advertising that it gives speed camera alerts but if you buy one to have this facility out of the box (The reason for my friends purchase in the first place) you will be disapointed.
You have to import the camera database yourself.
The procedure for this is not given for V5 on this site, only V4, so is the procedure the same as V4 or does anyone know what you have to do? as I have been roped in to help by my mate. |

If he has bought the LITE version then I believe it won't be included, however if he has purchased the full version of CPL5 then it will be included. The Speed Cameras are listed under Transportation and there is a sub category that needs to be ticked. You can do this on the PPC.
The procedure for V5 is the same as V4. |

He did purchase the full version, but when he went back to the shop he was told that he would have to install the camera database himself.
Sound like a bit of misleading selling to me. |

Unfortunately it's not unusual for sales staff not to be knowing about the subject they talk about.
If you get him to check the PC, it'll be setup in there under the POI section. There is a newer version so he may want to import the latest database as we now differentiate between speed cameras and red light cameras. |

If the file is indeed already there, how easy would it be for me to overite with the latest version, perhaps using my laptop? |

You have to follow the CPL4 instructions. It's a laborious task, it's not a 2 min job unfortunately. You can't just replace a couple of files you need to re-cut and re-transfer the entire maps from PC to storage card. |
