Hi,
Has anyone had a similar problem to me and if so have you managed to solve it. Tom Tom 3 running earlier, but went a bit strange so I did a soft reset.
Each time I try and start it Tom Tom shows at the top of the screen and the gps comes up on the bottom of the screen, but then Tom Tom does not fully load up. I would normally do a hard reset and re-install Tom Tom, but was wondering if anyone knows of a quicker way.

Another thing I have the postcode database linked to button 4 and when I press it now it just says that it could not bring Tom Tom to the foreground.

Any ideas anyone please. Sad

This happens when certain resource files are missing or from a different version. A standard reinstall of TomTom Navigator (without hard reset) should fix that. But you'll have to find the reason for why theses files go missing.

.. and it can happen if you've messed up a POI file in some way. Try removing and user POI files to a safe folder and try to start again. I unintentionally create a corrupt .BMP file (with too greater colour depth for TT) to go with my new POI (ov2) file. and TT did exactly as described here. Removed the .BMP file and all was fine again.

Hi,
I think you are right about poi's. I usually run Tom Tom with checkpoint, but I will give it a go without because I think the safety camera database sometimes causes probs. Thanks for you replies. :D
