I suppose that one day Garmin will wake up and stop doing stupid things like this, but I am not holding my breath. Their hardware and software is pretty good but it's because of these outmoded attitudes that I will not be buying another Garmin. :x

Skippy,

I know what you mean, but perhaps Garmin are moving on, albeit slowly. Although I asked another question as to whether or not they had plans to 'Unlock' the software for use with other GPS receivers and got the answer 'Not at this time', have they not now moved away from the proprietary storage card system of the StreetPilots? I thought they now used SD or CF....
