clie n770c / garmin etrex y lead.

Hi,

I'm going to connect my garmin etrex to my clie n770c, and have got the leads to do that.

I also have a car charger for the Clie, but because the car charger and the data cable have the same big wide plug I can't use both at the same time.

I'm quite proficient with a soldering iron, it must be possible to dismantle both plugs, find out which are the power pins and which are the data pins and make a y lead that has a plug to go in the bottom of the Clie, a connection to the Etrex and a connection to the 12v cigar lighter to power the Clie.

Even better would be if the Clie and Etrex could be powered from the 12v lighter.

Anyone done this or know how it could be done?
