Clip-On inaccurate positioning

Overt the last couple of weeks my clip-on has started to throw a bit of a wobbly. I am finding that the accuracy wanders way off during a journey (50-100 metres) and as a result my position on the map is often shown on the wrong road. This can happen for a sustained time (an hour or more) or sometimes lasts only a few minutes.

I am using it in ST mode and have compared the position to a Navman 4100 sat next to it. The Navman shows a similar signal strength and the correct position on the map, unlike the clip-on.

I'm hoping the clip-on is not on the way out just yet and would like to perform a factory reset, to see if that helps. Does anyone know the best way to do this or have any other ideas.
