for the life of me i can't see in any of the settings where and why a state of standby occurs in navigation mode?
if i'm navigating to somewhere the screen darkens up and only lightens back up when the screen is touched.
i can't see a setting where i can keep the screen light permenantly.

anyone enlighten me?

Assuming your Pocket PC is powered while it is in the car:

Start > Settings > System > Backlight > External Power - remove the checkbox.
