Hi all,
Newbie here, so be gentle :-)
I'm running TTN3 with POIEdit v3.2 and have downloaded some POI's from PocketGPS using POIEdit. I now don't want to use these particular POI's but can't work out how to remove them from my PDA (iPAQ 3780).
Obvious answer is just to delete them from the folder on the SD card, but if I do that TTN3 won't start and gives an Exception Error - so this route don't work.
Am I missing something obvious - can anyone help?
Cheers

There are at least a couple of ways of deleting - they should be filed on your memory card in the GB folder - there should be two files, both with the same name, the POI file (OV2) and the icon (BMP). By deleting these, it should not affect the running of TT3 as far as I am aware. Individually you can delete them in Map mode, by holding the pen on the POI and choosing <More.....>, then <Delete POI>
Hope this helps
Steve
PS I have not found a need to use POIEdit, although I am sure it is a useful programme. |

Hi Steve,
Cheers for the info, I'll give it a try and let you know...
How do you find and download POI's if not using something like POIEdit?
I need to have Hotel POI's (Marriott, Holiday Inn, etc....)
Cheers

Paul,
Just download the ov2 and bmp files and put them in the relevant country map folder on your iPaq. My computer of choice is the Apple Mac so I have to do it this way.
I only use a PC when I absolutely have to, like when installing something via ActiveSync, then I use my kids computer. |
