Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone can give me any advice as to which pda is better for sat nav-the reason i ask is that i have had a very bad experience with the my first sat nav i purchased- It was a ipaq 2210(refurbished),Brand new Globalsat bt 308 bluetooth reciver and tomtom 3 software, with kingston 128 mb sd card. my system kept freezing evry mile i go, in the end after many many hours of trying to get it to work so in the end i have just got rid of it(sold it) i still dont know what the problem was.

I have been reading the forums and i want to buy a fortuna clip on and tomtom 3 software but i cannot decide which ipaq to go for (whichever one i go for will be brand new this time) can anyone give me any ideas also if anyone can recommend a supplier would appreciate greatly.
thank you :D

I am new to this but I would stick with a 2210 whatever you do. Smile I have a 2210 and dropped it 15 feet off a roof onto pavement the other day and nothing happened to it! Plus I have had about 30-40 other small drops already of course it has been in the factory case I received with it everytime.

I don't know about the Rikaline CF card in particular, but I've not come across a CF card that hasn't physically fit in the slot yet - some haven't had drivers - but that's another story.

So long as the CF part isn't thicker than a Type II CF Card there ought to be no problem.

The 2210 has an SD slot and a CF slot - you might not be aware that to gain access to the (larger) CF slot you have to remove a little plastic moulding beneath the SD slot.

Yeah, go for the 2210, make sure that you have the latest firm ware revision though v1.10 (07).

Get yourself a decent CF card too.

You can use a GPS CF card in it aswell as a SD card for the maps though can't you?
