I'm fairly new to "Global Positioning System" GPS.
Making maps for these navigational aids must be difficult say the least, when roads are constantly being built, altered, and in some cases closed or re-routed. It's a case of updating the software, when available.
So when users come up with question like, "it won't find Joe Bloggs" at the corner of whatever St, or, can GPS give me rally instructions, or, there's a miniture roundabout been put in at the top of my street, and the GPS does,t "See It".
Do you think users of GPS expect to much from a navigational Aid???

To a certain extent, yes. Considering the the number of differant PDA's, operating systems etc. to enable the software to operate across all has to be a compromise. Utill the software is able to update it's own maps from data supplied by the mapping suppliers there is allways going to be omisions due to the time the new data was sourced and and new maps released and to how it is applied.
As in TT's case to leave out Towns and whole areas that were in TT2 and are missing in TT3 is not acceptable, and the fact that they have more up to date mapping data available as in TT Go I would have thought it would be in their own interest to issue an interim UK map update even if it did mean charging for it.
Whilst TT3 seems to be getting me to were I need to go each day and most of the issues I've had have been PDA hardware and SD Card issues, I will be buying Copilot V5 software only then decide on which one to stay with. _________________ Graham.
