satnav virgin needs some advise please

Hi everyone newbie here, could do do with some advise please, i've just splashed out on TTN3 and an ipaq 2210 with a 128 sd card. Now i already have a Haicom 204e from a previous attempt (failed) at getting sat nav in my car.
So my question is, i need a decent mount that i can just sit my PDA into and my power and Haicom is already connected to it (the mount) can anybody reccomend a good one prefer one under £50 if poss.
And what are the first software add on's i should get to make it preform better? :P
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
