|
|
Going to get the TomTom Europe Maps set.
The ones i'm getting will be v3.0 type. Are there any issues to using \ installing these on a system updated to 3.03?
I belive I only install the maps, is there a special process to follow. I dont want to break a working configuration.
Thanks _________________ Fraserp

Don't worry, installing the maps is a snap. The install wizard will guide you through. You will want to have a card reader handy, installing via ActiveSync is not recommended.
And yes, v3 maps will work with all 3.xx program versions _________________ Lutz

I have used Activesync several times to load the european maps (France in Particular) and it has worked every time perfectly. only problem is it is quite slow. This is the way the instructions tell you to load it.

As you say, it is quite slow, and susceptible to timeouts of all kinds. Consider yourself lucky. More often than not this doesn't work... _________________ Lutz

How do you do it with a Card reader then, just transfer the appropriate files across to the Card? |

Yes, the TomTom setup actually gives you the choice when it has detected that a card reader is present. It will then appear as one of the target options. _________________ Lutz
