recently purchased fortuna bluetooth gps from nex_gensales on e-bay.Worked ok till yesterday,problem i have is that when i switch the gps on i only get the green led power light, no indication of gps seraching for satellites and also i cannot connect to my pda [ipaq2210] I have tried removing battery and switching modes but still no joy.Would appriciate any help in this matter.

That's a new one to me. Sounds like it's given up the will to live.

How long did you remove the battery for? If it was at least 5mins then it should have performed a hard reset.

If there is still no light other than the battery I would organise a replacement from NexGenSales.

Strange!! I was just about to post on the exact same problem. It was fine until yesterday afternoon and now no middle satellite light at all. anyone else experienced the same problem?

If you are trying to get back to original factory settings you should remove the battery for at least 24 hours as these receivers use super capacitors to power the memory. Most manufacturers recommend a 24-48 hour disconnect.

The normal reason to require this is when the internals of the GPS have got messed up and the GPS has stopped talking to the BT, but most devices have code to protect this happening, so I suspect this is not the case here.

I would get in touch with your retailer and see what advice they can give.
