Navman web site recommends the fastest (512Mb) card you can get and say that the iCN is not yet suitable to have a 1Mb card installed. Have previously recommended Kingston but I seem to have bought mine at half price - cannot see the same price advertised now. Keep searching - ( I paid £29 incl)

Kingston recommend about twelve retail outlets/Internet shops who stock their products and having had a look on Ebyer's site this am they have the following:-
Kingston 512MB Elite Pro Hi-Speed Secure Digital Card
£24.93
£29.30
Manufacturer part # SD/512-S
(2 reviews) Ebuyer

Now that seems to be a good deal. Anyway, have a look on the other sites (go to Kingston.co.uk and have a look around their site). You can also download a PDF file describing the characteristics of the Hi-speed SD card, which Navman recommend you use for you iCN510. Good luck Smile

To save you time, go to this site then navigate to the seller of your choice.

I've just started using a Sandisk Extreme III 1Gb card I bought new from Ebay and so far no problems. If anything, just moving around the map on screen feels easier than with the Kingston 512Mb card I previously used.

Understand from seeing similar topics it's down to buying a reputable make of card with a high read/write speed.

Entirely agree. Navman say in their FAQ's
Quote:
(58) What is the biggest storage card that I can use with my Navman?

"At this moment the maximum storage card capacity supported is 256MB. Some 512MB work, they need to have a high data transfer speed. Check with your retailer or Navman technical support for more information. "

You pay your money and make your choice! The only caveat to buying a larger card than recommended is that if it does not work, then it's your possible loss. I did and am very happy with the result. Laughing
