Hi all,

Having just got me self the above phone I saw TT3 Nav on special in a local store and brought it, the wired version. The I realised that I needed a car cradle to plug the receiver into! That arrives next week. In the mean time several of the posts here have already helped resolve the problem of the software not being correct, upgraded to v3.7 and of course the com 1 lock out. I had not even set the IR port on the XDA, it was just on bu default. It's not any more:) I've also got to say that I haven't found the TT instructions that helpful, sure it tells you that the first address in Favorites is your Home address, but it would be nice if they told you just how to set it. But then again a short while 'playing' with the XDA and that was sorted.

To a couple of 'newbie' questions:

It's obvious I need more memory on the XDA, thinking of putting a 512 meg card in it. Is there any significant difference between using an MMC card or a SD card (or are they one and the same) ?

I assume that with the GPS hooked up and running I will still be able to use a Blue Tooth headset link and use the phone section of the XDA ?

TIA,

Philip Martin.

Hi

i use an SD card with no problems. I dont know what the differance between MMC and SD is.

You can use a BT headset with a wired gps receiver or a BT receiver.

You can also download the Traffic info if you subscribe to this option with TomTom

Thanks for the replies.

The GPS receiver is the TT wired one.

As to the ROM version, it was supplied with the latest version already installed Smile

SD is faster, given the small difference in price go for SD. I can reccomend ValueFlash who can advise on a reliable make .
