Can anyone help. I have been trying to download the pocket GPS database for weeks now and it never seems to work as per the instructions.

I don't believe there are any restrictions from my ISP because I can get the files onto my laptop - which is a Compaq Presario. From there I seem to hit a wall transferring over to my Ipaq.

The instructions seem to jump to the checkpoint options which don't seem to exist on my Ipaq.

It is from here where I get completely lost and it is really starting to get on my nerves.

Copy the POCKETGPS_UK_SC.OV2 and POCKETGPS_UK_SC.BMP to the \STORAGECARD\GREAT)BRITAIN NAVIGATOR MAP directory and overwrite any files you may have.

Installing Pocket GPS Safety Camera Database

Run CheckPOInt

Set the 'Check for POI's every' to 1 second.

Select the 'Button for recording a POI' to assign a hardware button to use to record the location of new or missing safety cameras.

Select 'Automatically start TomTom…' to get CheckPOInt to automatically start TomTom.

Tick 'Automatically stop…' and CheckPOInt will be shutdown when you exit TomTom.

Make sure ENGLISH and MILES are selected Evil or Very Mad

Can anyone help? Is there something obvious I am not doing?

The POI files have been renamed - they're now called things like pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2 / pocketgps_uk_gatso.bmp

If you don't have CheckPOInt installed, get version 2.0.2 from our Downloads area and install it via ActiveSync.

CheckPOInt lives at the bottom of your Today screen once you run it.
