I have a laptop running windows XP SP1 with Blue tooth on it (IBM T42) , a Fortuna clip on Bluetooth GPS and Autoroute. I would like to be able to use the gps with autoroute. Does anyone know how to set it up?

I have managed to connect the GPS via bluetooth manager, but once authenticated, it doesnt appear to do anything else. I have looked in the settings in autoroute and it requires a com port to connect to a GPS device.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Tony.

I'm not sure but try to do this (sorry that my pc is in portuguese so I hope I give you a good translation of the path):

Go to START --> MY COMPUTER --> SEE SYSTEM INFO (on top left) --> HARDWARE --> DEVICE MANAGER --> select PORTS (COM & LPT) and check in wich port you see your GPS device. Than in the Autoroute you just have to "tell him" the nr of the com port.

Sorry if it is a bit confusing... Hope it helps
Good luck,
Jorge

Thanks. But i do not have a GPS port added there at all. Crying or Very sad

I looked at the bluetooth settings and found that the GPS is not sharing any services.

Does this mean i cannot use it ? or do i have to download some drivers from somewhere?
