Can't get an ST lock outside

Hey Guys,

Just received my Fortuna Clip-on. I'm running it with an Orange SPV M2000 and Tomtom v3.

I am trying to run the unit in ST mode but am having no luck. If I switch to XT mode, I get a good lock pretty quickly, but ST mode just doesn't work. The SAT led stays red. Every time I've tried, I've been outside with a clear sky.

Any idea's on what would cause ST mode not to work ?

Sounds like a duff unit - I would send it back.

ST picks up really quickly when outside for me. I leave mine in XT mode though now as it works just about everywhere then and I can keep it hidden in my boot under the parcel shelf

Leave the thing outside for several hours switched on with a clear view of the sky. I have sometimes seen my Clip On take an extended length of time to get a fix after switching mode, though that was in XT mode.
