Radio Advertising

Driving to work this am (blowy, snowy, no tom-tom required) around County Durham I heard a radio advert for tom tom. It was on our local radio station for Darlington http://www.alpha1032.com.

It featured what sounded like a hungry young girl on a journey with her Mum. She fancies a burger, Mum says there probably isn't one near by, girl hums Tom Tom Tom (or something like) and then Mum is instructed to "turn left". I thought it was going to be an ad for Thompson's Local Directory at first. Are they advertising nationally ? Is this the first ad or are we, in the North, a little behind the times ?? Cheered me up no end.

It must be a national campaign.

I heard a similar ad this morning on our local radio station for the North West - Rock FM
