there seems to be a few strange ones on the old expansys forum, especially that bigfatjoe who’s called himself a monkey!

DavesCavCDX, you'd better save a banana for bigfatjoe.

Have a look here to see what I mean:

Yeah he was being sarcastic, I think, or maybe he is a talented monkey that can type. They're all pondlife over there apparently, I think he wanted to prove he is slightly higher up the evolutionary scale Smile

I was "just getting to know" a couple of posters there but it appears that I upset someone, as all my posts in one thread were deleted and I can't log on any more. Emails to moderator@ get bounced, too. And Expansys forum users say this one is strict!

Sounds a bit harsh, why did they do that?

Some posters mentioned warez, and how to do illegal things. They dont have a facility to remove posts on the forum I dont think, they can only wipe the thread. They coded the forums themselves, so its not quite as userfriendly as the YaaB forums around.

Yep, they insist on using bouncing smilies.

I thought that the dancing banana was the badge of choice.

I asked one of them how he had time to send new co-ords to Lowlander, but not to this site, when it's obvious where Lowlander got 'his' database from. It went on from there.

Well, the thread (656) is still there, with all my posts removed. Near the bottom are various posts by conroyd and Wishlist, whose messages have been altered to say "post deleted". My posts were once in between them.

They say post deleted because Wishlist and Conroyd did it themselves. The mods dont seem to be able to delete individual posts, only entire threads I think. Maybe Im wrong though.

Looks like this one is going to go round until it disappears up it's own orifice. Will a server operate in a Black Hole?

Well, I definitely didn't delete mine, so it follows that someone else did.

Bu**er, wish I hadn,t started this thread now!
Looks like its been hijacked by ttgone and N2go!
Anyone like to comment on what was the main point of my original post, the bit about the TomTomGo forum for TomTom Go'ers ONLY!!
Oh and I've gone off smilies completely !!

In general the GO forum is normally well targetted, the issues you are talking about arise when there is a cross application interest involved such as POIs and Warning systems.

TomTom GO software is generic across the hardware platforms for GO, Palm, HP Navigation Edition, 2004 USA, Mobile. It is often the case that an issue on any of these platforms will be valid in forum for the software/hardware.

There is very little TomTom Navigator 3 issues entered in this forum. Which I think is a good balance. If you think that a topic or post is not related to GO in the GO forum then point it out to a moderator who will take a view on the matter.
