Arkon powered GPS mount ball joint has failed

I just got a new arkon powered GPS mount about a month ago. The GPS and charger have worked great (quick lock, good signal), but the ball joint that connects the flexible arm to the PDA holder has already gone completely loose - it just flops with no resistance whatsoever. Is there any way to tighten it up or do I need to send it back?

i have a different Arkon mount from you but i would imajine the suction plate and ball-joint are the same ?

If they are the same then you need to remove the mounting plate (should be a slide and clip type fit) and you will find a cross-head screw in there that is used to tighten the ball-joint up.
