The Holux CR 100 is very well reviewed and I am most likely going o order one in the next few days. But I was wondering how does it compare with the similar offering from Arkon (CM805)? For me sensitivity and reliability of the GPS receiver is most important.
Thanks a lot |

Cant really help you with a comparison I am affraid
However I must say I am VERY happy with the Holux I have. Not had any problems at all with it and have always had a good signal, though not really used it yet in a heavily built up area to give it a 'real' test. I was impressed with the speakers on it, although a little 'tiney' like all are I am sure, it is certainly loud enough to hear over music playing in the car.
Picked mine up off a seller on ebay with over 1,000 feedback for £90 including next day delivery. Well worth it in my books. _________________ iPAQ 2110

I'm having trouble with my XDAII and the CR-100. It causes the XDA to try and dial a connection after which the XDA will crash. Turning the phone off sorts the problem, but negates the advantage in having an XDAII. Holux have not been able to provide any solution yet, so if this is the combination you are considering, I'd be wary.

First Trip with the holux cr 100. Over all performed well and I have little criticism against it. It was a bit difficult to position due to the acute angle bet dash and windscreen but appeared fairly stable. Reception was fine though there was perhaps slight delay. Overall not bad at all. |
