GPS receivers choice

Any idea regarding whether there are any differences betwen brands even if they use the same Sirf chipset . EG is the Tomtom GPS receiver better than the Rikaline 6010 ??
The Rikaline seem to have a very good review on the forum but ive seen sevral posts saying that people are having problems with it in the UK. Then Darren metionned 'you get what you pay for'

Even with the same SiRF chipset, there can still be differences in the quality of the product (the design of the PCB and antenna can influence performance), as well as the Bluetooth hardware and firmware for Bluetooth GPSes.

There's been a lot of people in the forums having trouble with Rikaline GPSes, and my personal recommendation would be to avoid them.
