Anybody knows any hotel guides that integrate into TomTom?
I'm traveling a lot, mostly in Germany, and I've become dependent on the Varta Hotel & Restaurant Guide, which came with TomTom Nav 1 and 2. Just look on the map in TomTom where I need to go, tap twice and there's a list of nearby hotels, sorted by distance, with phone numbers, prices and more. The integration is 2-way, i.e. from TomTom into Varta (find hotels near coordinates) and from Varta into TomTom (show on map, navigate to).
It's an unbeatable combination - 100 times more useful than the hotels POIs built into TomTom, 10 times more useful than the non-integrated guides like ViaMichelin's.
Trouble is, my Varta Guide is getting stale. Both TomTom and Varta seem to have lost interest.
Does anybody have info about hotel guides that plug straight into TomTom - or other navigation SW? It has to be more than just POIs - phone numbers, facilities, prices etc is what makes it useful. If somebody had a good guide that integrates well into navigation SW, I would jump ship and abandon TomTom.
