Hi All
i Have a Sony T610 and can use gprs on it to go on the web, The servic provider is Orange.
But how do i setup my Ipaq 2210 to use the Phones Gprs connection to go on line.
As i am going to upgrade from TT3 to CP5 and wish to use the two-way communications. and trafic update.
Or am i barking up the wrong tree.

Please ensure that the GPRS service provider has enabled the SIM card for the GPRS service.
Setting up the handset
1. On the handset, press the Menu joystick, scroll to Connectivity and press Select.
2. Scroll to Data comm. and press Select.
3. Highlight Data accounts and press Select.
4. Highlight New account and press Add.
5. Scroll to GPRS data and press Select.
6. In the New account field, enter Orange GPRS and press Ok.
7. Highlight APN and press Edit.
8. In the APN field, enter orangeinternet and press Ok.
9. Scroll to User id and press Edit.
10. Enter user in the User id field and press Ok.
11. Scroll to Password and press Edit.
12. Enter pass in the Password field and press Ok.
13. Press Save.
14. Highlight Orange GPRS and press Select.
15. Take note of the CID number, as it will be referred to later in the guide.
16. Press and hold the Back button to return to the main screen.
Setting up the modem
1. On the PDA, tap Start, then tap Settings.
2. Tap on the Connections tab.
3. Tap on the Connections icon.
4. Tap on Add a new modem connection.
5. In the Enter a name for the connection field, enter Orange GPRS.
6. From Select a modem dropdown list, tap on Bluetooth Dialup Modem.
7. Tap on Next.
8. In the Enter number exactly as it should be dialed field, enter *99***X#, where X is the CID number noted in step 15 of Setting up the handset, and tap on Next.
9. In the Username field, enter user.
10. In the Password field, enter pass.
11. Leave the Domain field clear.
12. Tap on Advanced.
13. Set Baud rate to 57600.
14. Untick Wait for dial tone before dialing.
15. Ensure that the Extra dial-string modem commands field is clear.
16. Tap on ok.
17. Tap on Finish.
18. Tap on ok.
19. Close the Settings screen.
Pairing the devices
1. On the handset, press the Menu joystick in.
2. Scroll to Connectivity and press Select.
3. Scroll to Bluetooth and press Select.
4. If Turn on is displayed, highlight it and press Select otherwise if Turn off is displayed, continue with step no. 5.
5. Scroll to Options and press Select.
6. Highlight Visibility and press Select.
7. Highlight Show phone and press Select.
8. Scroll to Phone name and press Select.
9. Enter Orange GPRS in the Phone name field and press Ok.
10. Press the Back button four times to return to the main screen.
11. On the PDA, tap on Start and tap on Today.
12. Tap on the Bluetooth Manager icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
13. If Turn Bluetooth ON is displayed, tap on it otherwise ignore this step.
14. Tap on Start, then Bluetooth Manager.
15. Tap on Tools.
16. Tap on Paired devices.
17. Tap on the Add button.
18. Tap on the lookup icon next to the Device field.
19. Tap on Orange GPRS.
20. Enter a four-digit passkey in the Passkey field, for example 1234 and tap ok.
21. On the handset, press Yes to Add to My devices.
22. In the Passkey field, enter a four-digit Passkey. (This Passkey should be the same as the Passkey entered on the PDA in step 20 and press Ok.)
23. On the PDA, tap ok.
24. Close the Bluetooth Manager screen.
The modem is now configured and ready for use.
Setting up the connection
1. On the PDA, tap on New.
2. Tap on Connect.
3. Tap on Connect to the Internet and tap Next.
4. Select the Connect via a dial-up device such as a cellular phone or a shared modem connected to a computer.
5. Tap on Next.
6. Tap in the Device field to choose device.
7. Tap on Orange GPRS .
8. Ensure that Create a shortcut for this connection option is ticked.
9. Tap on Finish.
Making the connection
1. From the Select a connection to use list, tap Orange GPRS and tap ok.
2. If prompted, enter username: user and password:pass and tap OK.
