Hi all, have been looking a lot at the pocket car GPS systems, mainly the Navman iCN 510 and PiN. Ultimately I want a really great portable car GPS system, don't care about PDA functionality, but if I can get it for a bit more, then that's great.

I currently am trying the 510 and it is great! Super portable and everything I could ask for. However my nagging bargain-hunter mind says, what about the PiN? For about the same price it is a slick PDA as well, but comes with Smart ST V2 instead of V3.

Will Navman soon offer an upgrade for a nominal or no fee? I don't think I could do without the features of V3. OR is there another Mio/software bundle that beats the tar out of both these, say CoPilot? Please help this noob. Smile

BTW I live in Los Angeles, USA. Thanks!

If you can hold out until slightly nearer to Xmas, then magically a V3 PiN may be available. Some retailers are already advertising it as the PiN 300. I'm not sure if it will support US, it may just be UK.

Personally I would stick with the 510. Post has been moved to Beginners forum.
