AmiGo - Android Auto

Again yesterday on a long trip, TomTom Go on Android Auto failed after 75 minutes, which is becoming an ongoing issue when running on Samsung Galaxy S20FE phone.

So I decided to load up AmiGo (had already downloaded it, but not setup destinations, etc) to see how that faired. As I didn't have a destination planned on it and had no way off adding a destination, it was just on the map.

The display provides slide-out camera notifications with distance and type of camera and also shows the cameras on the map itself. As a free app I found this design was better than the subscription app and wish they could implement some of the features into the paid app.

I also noticed on the map it showed where there were roadworks and if roads narrowed, again this is not on the main app.

I've got to go to York today so going to see how the app fairs with a route planned and see how it performs.

But initiially if you don't want subscription and not bothered about always being connected to internet, it doesn't seem to be a bad app, but will post later what i did think of the routing
