Dell Axim X5 & TomTom3

Hi,

I have a Dell Axim X5 and when I originally got the unit TomTom3 was already installed.

Recently the battery lost complete power and after a full recharge the TomTom3 program was no long on any of the program options list.

I have tried via both the sync system and also via a card reader and the SD card (which holds the info) to reinstall the software

BUT

When I go "start" "programs" "data backup" and then click on the restore tab at the bottom it tells me "no backup file exists" and both the restore options ("restore from latest backup" and "restore from following backup") are greyed out and cannot be selected.

Anyone got any ideas how to resolve this problem???

think you will hard to perform a hard reset first.

depress the soft reset button and the power button at the same time.
then it will load back to the original status.

use "storage tools" can be found in pc pocket tools in the download section and format whatever card you wish to use.

then re-instal tomtom.

make sure in future that your lithium battery never drops below 10%
