I am using Navigon Mobile Navigator 4 and POIWarner. I have tried using the POISync service with POIEdit and am able to download all the files so that they show up in the default POIWarner POI directory on my PDA. However, when I run POIWarner to activate the overlays they do not show up in the list. I can only get them to show up if I change their file extension to .asc (having done a manual download). But then the POI Manager shows no entries (probably not surprisingly!)

Am I missing a critical step? I have other POI overlays (downloaded from poihandler.com) which are activated and work.

Is it to do with the .ov2 filetype?

Might be a silly question....but I have not found the answer any where!

So now I have found the missing step....simple once you have hunted around the various forums.

I needed to do the "batch convert" before downloading the .asc files and the .bmp files.

One question remains...do I need the .inf files or are they rolled into to the .asc files?

I only keep the "asc" and "bmp" files on the Pocket PC and it works fine
