The upgrade worked on another PC, but not on this one. It looks like the updater tries to uninstall the old one first but can't find the old MSI package.
Control-Panel - Programs and Features also says it's not there.
Garmin began rolling out Garmin Express v4.1.12.0 for the PC today. This version includes the following changes:
• Fixed an issue that prevented devices from receiving certain map update files after completing a firmware update.
• Fixed an issue that prevented the successful updating of maps for some zūmo users.
• Fixed an issue that prompted some users to delete activity files from their device when it wasn’t necessary to do so.
• Improved the process of adding the Index Scale to Express. _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.20

The 3rd bullet is the most interesting as this affected my last update to 2016.30
This version includes the following changes:
• Resolved an issue that caused the Connect IQ app capacity limit to display an incorrect size.
• Resolved an issue that caused two Aviation Database Update buttons to be displayed.
• Resolved an issue that allowed the computer to sleep during a map update, causing the update to potentially fail.
• The previously selected locale for purchases is now selected by default when prompted. _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.20

GE has always had a screen saver issue for me, regardless of the message that you can walk away. I perform a periodic 'mouse wiggle' during map updates to prevent it. _________________ Satnav:

During last week I tried around 6 times to upgrade from v4.1.10 to 4.1.13.
on every occasion the download got to about 95% followed by the message Download failed.
Not a sleep issue as PC was alive. Map download with 4.1.10 did not fail.
