I've begun to enjoy the warning beeps that sound when I am near a waypoint. So I turned to the Full Guide to 'read-all-about-it'. There I learn that,
" The unit will beep when it encounters
WayPoints, Points Of Interest, GoTo Points or
Routes."
Additionally I see that 'audio playback' is something different... see here:
"Audio Playback Volume: 70%
Beep Alert Count: Three Beeps
Note: You cannot control the volume of the
beeps"
What is the difference between 'audio playback' and the beeps? Or is 'audio playback' simply the beeps but sent to a pair of headphones plugged into the mini-jack? |

I'm not sure that the A10 makes/plays any other sound other than beeps. Equally, I think that you shall find that the no sounds are available via anything plugged into the mini-jack.
Perhaps SatMAp thought to provide these features at a future date but never got round to it?. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

I can live with that. (My first Kindle had a mini-jack and at first I thought 'Cool - I can listen to music while I read' but in fact I never used it...)
The proximity beeps are pretty low in volume and I doubt very much that I'd hear them in a storm unless I walk along with the unit held against my ear! |
