Do you upload the corrections? I've found that all of the mini-roundabouts I've added are carried forward when I install a new map, as "corrections made by mapshare members". _________________ Anita

Sorry, Anita, you know me, not the biggest fan of MapShare. So I haven't done it for quite a while. But when I last did my standard list of corrections, I always chose to share them and they uploaded. The mini roundabouts still haven't transferrred onto the latest map (and of course, I don't accept any mapshare changes). _________________ Dennis

I realised that as soon as I'd posted my message.
I accept changes made by many and have had no problem so far, but then I don't travel extensively like you do. _________________ Anita

That's exactly the functionality I remember... no change to the graphics (as you'd expect really) but the voice instructions changed to reflect the change
For example, after adding the new roundabout it would now say "Go right at the roundabout, third exit" where before the correction it would just say "Turn right").
That behaviour DOES seem to have changed and ONLY the report goes through to TomTom, and no changes are made to the user's own unit.
I've reported it to TT, lets see what they say. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

I have two Go 550's that I have added roundabouts to this morning.
They are both running App. 9.465 & Map UK & ROI 905.4765.
The map does not show a roundabout but instructions in route demo treat it as if there was a roundabout there.
Don't know if it makes a difference but I have not updated since weekend. _________________ Brian

Yes, I still get all the options I used to, and can get as far as selecting the junction, but when I confirm that I wish to add a roundabout there, it tells me it won't be changed on my device but the change will be sent to TomTom.
You can try entering a fictitious one, as there's a cancel option before sending it, or use the coordinates jonbaker12345 gave for the mini-roundabout he wants to add, N 53.83942 W 0.26640. What result do you get? _________________ Anita

I've just tried with those coordinates and get the same result as Anita, it'll be sent to TT but not actioned to my device. To punish you all, I will be uploading this to TT when the time comes!
Then I set a route and did a demo - it didn't tell me to do anything about a roundabout.
It did behave differently to previous such corrections, which seemed to be taken on without that warning/comment about not being actioned to my map. _________________ Dennis

I just got the following message:
Thank You
This error will be reported to TomTom, but this crossing cannot be corrected on your device.
It then says sending error report
Add roundabout
Do you wish to write some additional notes? _________________ Brian

Could you give us the coordinates of one of the roundabouts you successfully added this morning. I'd like to see if it will change the map on my 720, or if I get the same message as for the other roundabouts. _________________ Anita

Thanks, Brian. That worked on my 720 too!!
Now we just need to find the common features of junctions where a roundabout can be added to one's own map and those where it can't to try to work out TomTom's logic, or lack of it! _________________ Anita
