Checkpoint 2.x and TTN3

Not sure if this is a Checkpoint, TTN3 or Pocket PC question but here goes.

I have Checkpoint configured to start TTN3 however once started its really difficult to get access to the Checkpoint icon at the bottom (TTN3 covers this). The reason I want to do this is alter some settings, admittedly its not often.

Anyone know the slickest/quickest way to get access to this?

I know of getting to the checkpoint icon is to tap the "x" in the top right corner then when you have finished making adjustments .tap OK then tap TOMTOM NAVIGATOR in the today screen and it takes you back to where you were before

Thanks its a bit easier than the messing around I was doing before.
Its not often I have to do (probably more at the moment as I'm just settngs things up) it but it was annoying.
