Umm, i thought id posted a message here 20 mins ago, but its not showing up.....
Ok try again. is it possible to view the Camalert map in 3D a la satnav?
Dunno if this has been asked before, i tried searching without result.

We are using the Google Maps API to show the map. If and when they start supporting 3d we would automatically benefit from it in CamerAlert. Having said that - the API is using raster maps ( tiles ) whereas 3d uses vector maps and is potentially heavier on the processor. So it's not very likely to happen.
We could do some isometric squeezing in track up view but that would look silly. _________________ Lutz

I dont understand, when i use 'navigation' in google maps on this S2, the view is in 3D...isn't it the same thing? |

No, Google Navigation is a separate app. We are using the Maps SDK (part of the Android SDK) which, at the moment, ONLY offers 2D tiles for showing maps.
