New Job, New Tom Tom?

Guys, My time is very important to me, I'm at a time of life where I have many more hours behind me than in front of me!

I'm about to start a new contract that will means I have to keep more conventional office hours, so I'm looking to replace my current 540. The issues I have with the 540 are the frequent reboots, and the time it takes to get HD traffic info and small screen size.

My daily journey is from Surrey to W London, and I have several options M25/M4 M25/M3, cross country etc, but I need to “commit” almost immediately after leaving Home or the office.

I've read several threads here with interest, I understand about the Horizon issue but I don’t think it will affect me, I don’t really care about the navigation part, as I can certainly pick a better route than my current 540 ( which seems obsessed with sending me through Kingston at every opportunity?) but I am a bit confused about the various software versions and I’d like it to last at least a couple of years.

So what would you suggest I buy?
