Had a quick search and cannot find an answer.

I’ve got a TT720 with HD Traffic and the latest map and software provided by Home.

When travelling if I get a traffic incident and tell the 720 to find another route using HD traffic, the new route is found and all is fine. But the next time I travel the same route the 720 will remember the reroute from the previous time and try to send me that way.

Week 1 Friday – travel from Portsmouth to Leicester – M27 – M3 – A34 – M40 – A43 – M1
A34 closed due to incident, reroute around country roads, back onto A34 after incident etc etc.

Week 2 Friday - travel from Portsmouth to Leicester – M27 – M3 – M25 – M1
750 remembering last week’s A34 closure and sending me a route to avoid something that is not there!!

This will continue each week until I do a hard reset and then we are back to normal, anybody else having this sort of problem and is there another fix other that hard reset??

Many thanks
Mike.

Sounds like a good bug find!
I've not heard this one before. Can you get any screen grabs?

I presume you've checked the delay isn't still being shown (wrongly) on the Traffic map?

HD on a 720? Is this traffic via your mobile phone?

Well spotted...I missed that detail!

It can only be RDS-TMC Traffic or GPRS Traffic via a mobile phone. Neither of those are 'HD Traffic', that only comes via the LIVE services subscription and you can't get that on a 720..

So could it be refreshing/dumping the phone data prior to route planning?

All, so sorry Embarassed it's a TT750 not a 720. More haste and less speed when trying to type a post and eat lunch.

Andy, yep I checked that the incident is not showing on week 2.

If I ask for a reroute using Road Blocked then everything works as it should, so I'm convinced it's an HD Traffic issue.

PS - must update my signature!!

Sorry for the delay, driving home yesterday and only got around to getting the TT out this morning.

App = 9.054

Map = 865.3244

Home updated to this map this morning when I connected to home, so I’ll see if this makes any difference to the issue and get back when I come across it again.

You might also want to update to the latest App for the 750 - 9.058

However due to the stupidity of TomTom Home you will have to remove the 9.054 App manually in Manage My Go and then run Update My Go in otder to be offered the 9.058 update. No idea why as earlier updates to 9.054 were offered automatically by TomTom Home when running Update My Go.

This must be something peculiar to some units as I'm running a 550 which was automatically updated to 9.058!!

Was that updated from 9.026? It seemed to be units already updated to 9.054 that needed a boot up the backside to get 9.058.

You may even consider to update to the latest 9.120
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com//modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=86351

that is supposed to be the latest version for GO 750 , official from Tomtom even if it seems it's not offered by TT Home

Correct. The 750 unit that had to have Navcore 9.054 removed in TomTom Home before Navcore 9.058 was then offered had previously been upgraded to Navcore 9.054 from Navcore 9.026 by TomTom Home.

With my 940 I never acccepted TomTom Home's blandishments to upgrade from Navcore 8.371 to Navcore 9.054 when it was offered because I read on here that it didn't support HD Traffic on the x40 series. Finally Navcore 9.058 was released and Home then did offer it to me automatically on my 940 as an upgrade from Navcore 8.371

But Navcore 9.120 seems to have just the same problems as Navcore 9.054 in not supporting HD Traffic services on the x40 series units due to the different nature of the Vodafone SIM card supplied with those units.

It seems to work ok with x50 series units.

The OP model is a GO 750 and the 9.120 it's for this model.

I can confirm that the HD traffic works perfectly with this navcore on a GO 750.
