Camera database and old maps

I am considering subscribing to the speed camera database for my Garmin Zumo 550.

Does it matter that my maps aren't the latest?

They must be about 3 years out of date.

Hi,

Yes, it will work. The only 'issue' you might face is with new or moved roads with cameras on. The satnav will struggle to try to place you on a 'nearest road' which may make it more difficult to see where the cameras are. To be honest, this probably isn't much of an issue if you are happy using 3 year old maps anyway!

A couple of routes I do on new roads has the 550 showing me driving along in the fields next to the road!!!

I assume that the camera database will just place the camera in the field similarly.
