| I have connected to tomtom home and everytime I do there is never an update for the satelites.Could anyone let me know if this loads " behind the scene" or have they been stopped.Thank-you. |

I don't know the correct answer it happens for my 510 device but not my 520 device.
Perhaps its dependant upon your device settings as I don't mind either way I have never investigated it. |

| Hi I have removed contents of the ephem folder on the satnav and the computer and now the gps updates are back.Thank-you. |

Just tried to download update for Ephemeris.
Deleted files in Tomtom device and on computer.
TT Home updated map but nothing in Ephemeris file on Tomtom.
Go700, App 7.903, Map Western Europe v850.2783.
Any ideas, anyone?
Just going to put old files back in Ephemeris. |

That's odd - I haven't got any ephemeris folder on my 700. Not that I want the quickgpsfix anyway - I'm like Mike, don't trust it and never seemed to get any benefit from it (on later devices). No sign of it on my backup copies either (but I've only got 11 backups since May 2007 - it's a 700, doesn't fall over - two latest backups are January 2010 and July 2009  )

| In my earlier post on this topic I said it worked on my 510 but not my 520 so I deleted the files on my PC and the 510 & 520 it now works on both of them. |

I'm afraid the Go700 doesn't use TomTom's QuickGPSFix! (See the compatibility chart HERE).
So I'm not sure how you ended up having any files to delete, but they shouldn't have been there. |
