Green Markers

A quick question: I placed a marker on the map how do you delete it?
(The Green icon)

I can't even remember how I did it, but I just want to remove it so it never shows again... AARRGGHH!!!!

You can turn off markers altogether in the advanced map display options or you can set the green marker to your home location and that seems to get rid of it.
