NUVI 1490 POI's

I am confused, I have download and installed POI's from other sources but the POI's from PocketGPSWorld are not recognised by the Garmin POI Loader, I have 'unzipped' your POI files and see the data is CSV format, is this correct,

CSV is certainly the right format. Did you download the POIs into the same folder as your other POIs? (POI Loader only uses ONE folder for ALL POIs - the one you specify to it.) Also if you include icon files (and voice files, come to that) the file names (apart from the 3-letter extension after the ".") need to be absolutely identical to the POI category filenames.

For 'special needs' I believe there are 'ways & means' of installing more than one folder on the unit (an example is where people needed UK (m/h) AND continental (k/h) camera databases at the same time) but it's a fiddle, and certainly not the normal download mechanism.
