GO - screen problem - Advice wanted

My much loved tomtom GO has developed a problem. Occasionally, when the urge strikes it, the screen behaves as if it is continually being pressed in one area (around the letter Q in keyboard view). Now, normally this problem is a grubby screen, but it's squeaky clean as far as I can see.

Resetting only works briefly (if at all).

Any simple solutions, or is my TT GO in its death throes?

Use the corner of a thin piece of card/ paper and insert it between the screen and screen surround, run this around the edge to dig out any dirt that has fallen in the gap as this is a known issue, it is also possible to remove the screen surround to clean it out fully but thats quite an involved procedure even though a set of instructions are available on here - try the card trick first though as it works in 99% of cases - Mike
